| "Almost Abandoned" by Stephanie Berry |
This is a house I drive by a lot. It's not really red but this needed the color so I took artistic license and went with red. This painting took several sessions before I felt I could call it "done". Someone now lives here but for a long time it sat empty looking very forlorn.

Looks like a wonderful and peaceful place to live. You made a beautiful painting out of it , love the rendering of the snow, even though it is quite dark blue your eyes still 'sees' all white, if you know what I mean :-)
You have captured a lovely snowy scene. I love the colours in the shadows. I can feel the chill in the air just looking at it. A good thing when viewed from my hot part of the world.
Wow - really well done, Stephanie! Love your choice of red for the house and the way the snow is rendered - excellent!
This one really rocks, Stephannie!
Hi Stephanie!... You've certainly achieved both goals in your painting wonderfully!
You have successfully added warmth into winter... that house colour really hit the mark in making that so... placing it strategically in the midst of all those blue shadows!
You have captured that sense of solitude as well... with the house pushed back... and no tracks or cleaned drive to indicate any human presence!
A great winter painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
