RANDOM STILLS

"Pear" by Stephanie Berry
6x6" oil on stretched canvas

"Red Pepper Bottom" by Stephanie Berry
6x6" oil on RayMar

"Jake Jr." by Stephanie Berry
8x8" oil on panel
Here's a few little ones I've done recently.  The stuffed bear was done for my nephew James who is doing a school project where his bear travels around the USA.  His bear got to visit us and learn a bit about Maine.  The red pepper I did a while ago but I can't decide if I like it or hate it.  I was sort of channeling Georgia O'Keefe.  I love her organic shapes that stand alone in all their glory.  The pear I did because I had one and missed doing the apples.

I love O'Keefe too so you are on the right track as far as I am concerned.
I do like the way you placed the red pepper too. The bear is a cutie but out of all of them I like the pear best. The color and texture is lovely .

I LOVE the colors and texture on the pear, Stephanie...Excellent piece...the bear brings back memories when my granddaughter had to bring her bear home and she had to take care of it for a weekend and tell a story on what they did...

Oh yeah, that has Georgia written all over it. There's an uncomfortable confusing seduction about it...

I really like your pear. The mosaic looking strokes it's modeled with are very appealing. lol I wasn't trying to be funny there, it just comes naturally.

Hope your well and keeping warm through this horrendous cold spell.
